Water on, water off: That's voice controlled hygiene
The new voice assistant by Diehl Aviation adds another feature to the airplane lavatory. The hygienic, touchless operation will be even smarter because all functions that are not already controlled by touchless sensors - flushing, lavatory lid, water, soap, waste flap - can now simply be operated by voice command. The system is multilingual and considers PRM requirements in particular for people with visual impairments. Accessibility is not exclusive but in addition to touchless operation. The touchless operation through sensors continues to be active. The system analyzes how passengers communicate. The voice interface is capable of interpreting the user‘s intend and understanding different accents and dialects. By analyzing the users‘ behaviour the system will become even smarter over time! Due to the implementation of cutting edge machine learning algorithms, the system works without any internet connection.
