Shareholder and Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Diehl Group, Mr. Werner Diehl, has passed away
Werner Diehl, Shareholder and Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Diehl Group, passed away on April 10 at the age of 78. As a grand seigneur of the company, he had worked in and for the company in various functions since 1975. As a Shareholder, Werner Diehl shaped the Group into a successful family business with a promising future and a proud tradition over the course of 50 years, while at the same time showing humanity and caring for the less fortunate through the Irmgard Diehl Children's Foundation and Karl Diehl Foundation. Werner Diehl continued the cooperation established by Karl Diehl with the Nuremberg Old Town Friends with his own accents and a great deal of passion.
Werner Diehl was honored for his many years of commitment with the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Bavarian Order of Merit. Mr. Diehl received the IHK Gold Badge of Honour for his services to the IHK. The Caritasverband Nürnberg e.V. awarded him the "Pro Meritis Caritas Norimbergae" medal of honor for his commitment to helping people.
For many, he became an entrepreneurial role model. His work for Diehl will remain unforgotten and will continue to be a guideline for the future of the company after his death. By passing the baton to the fourth generation at an early stage, he set the course for the
future of Diehl.
