Organized by the United Nations, International Women's Day, takes place every March 8. This is a special opportunity to recognize, out loud and worldwide, the achievements of women and to raise awareness of the need for parity.

Diehl Metering’s commitment to gender diversity

A Call to Action: Unlocking Equal Rights and Opportunities

Last year, we highlighted the theme "Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress", addressing the underrepresentation of women in industrial management. This year’s theme calls on us to take concrete action toward ensuring equal rights, power, and opportunities for all. It envisions a future where no one is left behind, with a special focus on empowering young women and adolescent girls—the next generation of change-makers.

Why our participation matters

2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, the most progressive and widely supported framework for advancing women’s rights worldwide. Since its adoption, this document has played a pivotal role in shaping legal protections, improving access to essential services, and challenging outdated social norms and stereotypes.

By actively engaging in this initiative, we:

  • Demonstrate solidarity: show our commitment to a cause that benefits everyone.
  • Inspire change: our actions can motivate others to reflect and act towards gender parity. Both equality and parity could be correct, depending on what you want to say here
  • Strengthen our Culture: contribute to building a more inclusive and supportive workplace at Diehl Metering.

Driving Change at Diehl Metering

At Diehl Metering, we believe that diversity and inclusion are essential drivers of innovation and success—principles embedded in our Sustainability Report. We continue to encourage women to take on leadership roles, explore diverse career paths, and realize their full potential. In 2023, women represented 42% of our global workforce, and the percentage of female managers rose from 19% to 21%.
